Why are credentials stored?

So that AllMailHub can fetch new mail while you are signed out, we store the credentials of your mailboxes, in a way that nobody can read them.

How we protect your credentials

  • Passwords are stored encrypted with AES-256, never in plain text.
  • For Outlook we store no password, only the access key Microsoft issues.
  • Our servers are in the EU. We operate in the Netherlands, encrypted backups are kept in Germany.
  • When you remove a mailbox from AllMailHub, we also delete its stored credentials.

Even safer with app passwords

Where your provider offers app passwords, it is worth creating one just for AllMailHub. You can revoke it at your provider at any time without changing your actual password.
